Suptavajrasana

Suptavajrasana is a part of Vajrasana. The first seeker should apply Vajrasana. After this, both hands should be lying on the chest or taken behind the head and keep it down. This is called the Saptavajrasana.
 The simplest way of practicing this is that the seeker first sits in Vajrasana, after this, bending backwards with the help of arms and elbows, till the head hits the ground. Keep the waist arched. It should always be kept in mind that the knees are contiguous on the ground. The hands should be placed on the thorax or thigh. Eye should be closed and body should be left loose. This is the called Suptavajrasana.

With this Vajrasana, breathing should be taken slow and deep while stretching and narrowing the stomach. By doing this, stomach diseases are cured. While practicing this asana, meditation should be centered on the Swadhisthana Chakra. The seeker should always remember that the muscles and joints of the thighs and knees should not be unduly strained to touch the knees firmly on the ground.

Lower spine patients, TB of bone Patients suffering from this should not practice this asana without asking any qualified teacher or doctor.

This asana is very useful for gastric diseases, constipation etc., constipation is destroyed and stomach becomes clean and works properly. This asana stretches and compresses the intestines with power. This asana is a great benefit to keep the pressure normal in the main nerves of the spine connecting the whole body to the brain. This makes women’s menstruation regular.
